In 2010, the Czech Coal Group sold more than 13.8 million tonnes of brown coal on the brown coal market. The Czech market is the key for brown coal sales. More than 13.4 million tonnes of brown coal were sold on the Czech market, which is almost 97% of annual production.
In terms of exports, in 2010 Poland’s brown coal market was dominant; the Group supplied almost 263,000 tonnes of brown coal there out of its total exports of 418,000 tonnes.
With their more than 12 million tonnes and a share of almost 87% of the Group’s total output, the production and sales of fuel and industrial mixtures for electricity and heat production predominate.
More than 0.7 million tonnes of sized coal, intended for households and small boiler plants, was produced, i.e., more than 5% of total sales.
