The Czech Coal Group consists of Czech Coal a.s., a trader in energy commodities, such as coal, electricity and greenhouse gas emission allowances. It also includes Vršanská uhelná a.s. (VUAS), which holds coal reserves with the longest life span in Czech Republic within the existing mining limits, Litvínovská uhelná (LUAS), which has the largest coal reserves beyond the mining limits in Czech Republic and Coal Services a.s., service company. The Group also includes a number of service companies and it holds equity stakes in regional heat & power plants. The Group has nearly 5,000 employees.
