The Relationships with the Region

It is important and essential, in the Czech Coal Group’s opinion, to take part in addressing the issues of the region in which almost all of its production operations are located and most of its employees live. The Group’s regional policy is therefore focused on the Ústí nad Labem Region, especially the districts of Chomutov and Most. The Czech Coal Group is systematically involved in the efforts to resolve the regional issues.

In the Group’s opinion, knowledge of how the region’s residents perceive its activities is an essentials prerequisite for deciding on the directions of future development, including regional cooperation. The people and organisations communicate their views and comments, either directly or via electronic mail, to the Regional Affairs and Communication Department of Czech Coal a.s., and they could also do so, from May 2006 to September 2010, at the Spolužití (Coexistence) Information and Contact Centre in Litvínov.
