Yearly Report of the Czech Coal Group: Business Activities and Sustainable Development

Actual Report:

Reports for downloading:

The Reports are based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) international reporting methodology. They have been prepared using Sustainability Reporting Guidelines GRI, and the methodology for the extractive industries (GRI Mining and Metals Sector Supplement, 2005).

In compliance with the principles of sustainable development, the Global Reporting Initiative (for more information see www.globalreporting.org) promotes voluntary disclosure of environmental, economic and social indicators by organisations, including particularly privately held businesses. The objective behind the GRI is to support the transparency and credibility of the activities related to sustainable development. More about GRI initiative is avaïlable at www.globalreporting.org .

The Global Reporting Initiative methodology is an effective and inspiring tool for the monitoring of sustainable development at the company level. It defines specific indicators of the three dimensions of sustainable development. The methodology makes it possible to prepare a more rational and more balanced interpretation of the company’s impact on the environment and on stakeholders, compared with the purely protectionist views focusing only on the adverse impacts of man and technology on the world of nature.
